3 Business Advice from Google CEO

(3 Business Advice from Google CEO) Google is one example of a successful company thanks to constant innovation. Starting from a search engine, the company founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin has now created a variety of applications and services as well as Internet rule.

There are some unique customs that Google developed to foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the company. One is the weekly meetings. Any Google employees from around the world freely provide questions to Google executives, either directly or via email.

The employees can also give criticism or express their ideas to the leaders of the company.

In an interview conducted by Wired.com, Google CEO, Larry Page, the company delivered some successful tips in business. Here are some very interesting advice.

1. Do the things that are "crazy"

Many big companies become complacent and forget to innovate. This was avoided by Google to foster a culture of innovation within the company. Every employee in the company is required to "Think Big", thinking and doing things that are not normal.

Since childhood, Page dreamed of becoming an inventor. He not only wanted to create a great product, but also wants to change the world. The dream was still alive until now and he embodied with Google.

For Page, the satisfaction is when he and his team can develop innovative 10 times what they had developed previously. So, do not be surprised if the innovation at the core of Google's business. See for Gmail, an email service that offers storage capacity 100 times greater than the capacity provided by other email services.

Google has also created a variety of languages and translation services spawned Google Maps and Google Drive, data storage service based cloud computing technology. In addition, there are YouTube, Android, and Chrome is attractive and has been used by many people.

Google even rumored to build a project and a special lab called Google X. Various facilities in the Google X lab designed to support a variety of Google research to create future technology, such as a car that can run itself and glasses-based Augmented Reality technology.

"If you do not do crazy things, you do things wrong," said Page. As CEO, he is always pushing his team to innovate.

2. Innovation must be followed by commercialization

Successful innovation must be followed by commercialization. Page exemplifies Xerox PARC, a subsidiary of Xerox Corp., which was founded in 1970. Xerox PARC is famous for many innovations in the field of technology and hardware. Some innovation plays an important role in modern computing world, among them, ethernet, a graphical user interface (GUI), and laser printing technologies.

"However, they do not focus on commercialization," said Larry. That's what makes Xerox PARC failed.

Larry give another example, the Tesla. Tesla is one of the companies that he adored, who developed an innovative car. However, the company founded by Nikola Tesla was spending 99 percent of its power to develop products that people liked. That's what causes Tesla eventually fall.

Xerox PARC and Tesla failed because it only focused on innovation. Every company needs two things to be successful, the innovation and commercialization.

3. Do not focus on the competition

Google is different from other technology companies. We focus on developing products and services, instead of focusing on the competition.

"What is interesting from the work if the best thing we can do is beat the other companies doing the same thing to us? That's what makes a lot of companies fall slowly. They tend to do the same thing with their ever done and made some minor changes, "said Page.

According to Page, it is natural that many people want to do things that they believe are not going to fail. However, to be successful, technology companies need to make a big change.

When released Gmail, for example, Google is still a mere search engine companies. Creating a web-based email service is a major leap forward for Google, let alone dare Gmail provides email storage capacity is very large when compared to similar service providers at the time.

At the time of developing Gmail, there are already several other companies that have a search engine. Gmail will not be there if I just focus to compete with those companies. Google chose to focus on developing products and services.

404 (Not found) Tentang galat Not Found

404 (Not found)
Tentang galat Not Found

Mengatasi galat Not Found

Kapan memunculkan kode status 404

Download the 3.2 SDK now.
We’re happy to announce an update to the Facebook SDK for iOS that makes it easier and faster to develop Facebook integrated iOS apps. We’ve also revamped the iOS Dev Center so you can quickly access the tools and resources you need to build great social apps.
The 3.2 release addresses some of the most requested improvements and adds support for better analytics making it easier to build, distribute and promote your app. These features include:
Better Mobile Analytics
Access to meaningful analytics data can go a long way towards understanding how people use your apps. We’ve added support for measuring additional usage metrics and optimizing ads to help improve your app’s quality and monetization potential.
  • App Usage Metrics: We’ve enabled additional metrics such as iOS 6 native share sheet and built-in native UI controls usage that can now be logged through our SDK. We've also added support for showing these metrics on App Insights to help you understand how people are interacting with your app.
  • Ads Optimization: Similar to our current conversion measurement product for websites, we are currently working on a solution for native iOS apps. Integrating with our SDK will let you log conversion events from your apps. Conversion measurement helps businesses measure and optimize the return on investment of their Facebook Ads by reporting on the actions people take after viewing those ads.
  • Purchase Events (Beta): We're previewing support for logging in-app purchase events with select partners.
Enhanced Error Handling
We've enabled SDK support and documentation for all classes of error responses, which will significantly improve your SDK integration experience. The SDK will now automatically categorize errors by common application handling behavior and provide helpers to simplify some common error response cases. In addition, the SDK will automatically handle a larger number of error cases including various iOS 6 cases such as password changes and expired tokens.
Improved Web Dialog Support
This release adds support for integrating web dialogs, Feed Dialog and Requests Dialog, without invoking deprecated headers making it cleaner and easier to add dialogs into your app.
API Improvements
We’re adding a new FBAccessTokenData type, which encapsulates token data information such as token string, permissions, expiration date, etc. to make it easier to open a session from token data explicitly. This allows you to better handle app and deep linking as well.
This update also includes bug fixes that improve stability and is backwards compatible. Please share your feedback with us on Facebook's StackOverflow page with the tag: facebook-ios-sdk. Start developing today to take advantage of these powerful new tools and resources.
